From Yakubu Mustapha, Minna.

The Niger State house of Assembly member representing Bosso constituency, Hon. Malik Madaki Bosso has described the current fuel scarcity in the country as shared wickedness aimed at causing untold hardship on the masses.
Madaki Bosso who made this known at the weekend while speaking to newsman in Minna however described the situation as unfortunate.
He said, the hardship came despite the untiring effort by the federal government to make the resources available for its citizens.
He said, some individual are still out to thwart the beautiful effort of the federal government by creating another artificial scarcity to dent the already established good image of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
The lawmaker decried that the most worrisome factor was that most of the filling station sell their products in the night hours to black marketers inside Jericans and in turn sold these products to motorists at exorbitant rates, urging the perpetuators to desist from such act.
The legislator blamed the artificial fuel scarcity to the activities of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN.
He therefore charged on the need to constitute a strong task force committee involving the executive, the legislature and the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR to checkmate the activities of these petroleum Marketers for the sake of our dear economy and the citizenry.
Bosso further emphasized that the situation was not too good for the people especially when the country is just getting out of recession and considering the fact that festivity period of Christmas and New year are drawing closer.
