Some selected students including those leaving with disability from Adamawa central zone have cause to smile as a Non-Governmental Organization, Aliyu Wakili Boya Education Initiative has paid for their WAEC and JAMB examination fees.
Coordinator of the Organization,Mr.Umar Modibbo made the development known through a press statement issued in Yola Tuesday stressing that 104 students including physically challenged are the beneficiaries this year.
According to Modibbo the beneficiaries were selected from the seven local government areas of Fufore, Yola South, Yola North, Girei, Song, Gombi and Hong in the central zone.
Moddibbo said the student comprised 14 physically challenged, 45 best male students and 45 best female students.
Modibbo said the gesture funded by the chairman of Fufore local government council, Alhaji Aliyu Wakili Boya was to complement the state emergency declared on education by the Governor Muhammadu Bindow administration.
Modibbo urged beneficiaries of the gesture to reciprocate it by being more dedicated to their studies and passing their examination with flying colours.
Modibbo reiterated the commitment of the NGO to supporting government effort to transform education in Adamawa state.
