NGO decries high rate of child, woman rights violation

A Non-Governmental Organization, International Center for Sexual and Reproductive Rights (INCRESE) has lamented over the high rate of child and woman right violation going on unpunished in this part of the world hence the need for its reversal.
The Executive Director, Dorothy Nuhu Aken’nova made this known yesterday at a three-day INCRESE Media Training Logistics Information workshop for journalists held in Minna.
Dorothy stressed that those perpetuators of those acts pretended under the their religion at the detriment of their victims however charged for institutional support, adequate enlightenment and advocacy, build capacity of youths and media as well policy strengthening to ensure justice.
She stated that the NGO has through its outreach activities and Girl Leadership programmes currently boast of 5,000 pear educators, trained no fewer than 2,000 adolescents and youths in the last 10 years, with average record of 100 abuses received annually.
The Executive Director hinted that the NGO has also been offering home services to some victims in Minna noting that that would be sustained.
According to her, “this is the leading Nigerian NGO working for an enabling environment for expanded access to Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Information and Services” he stated.
She emphasized on the need to respect the rights of every individuals devoid of sentiments most especially the vulnerable groups who were mostly affected with nobody to speak for them charging on the people to come out to speak when their rights we being violated.
