NFF vice president leads Eagles to Sudan
The Super Eagles will be led to Sudan for this weekend’s crunch Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match by Lagos State FA boss and newly elected 1st Vice President of the NFF, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi.
According to a media statement from Ademola Olajire, the other top NFF officials in the trip to Khartoum for Saturday’s showdown includes , Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu, Director of Technical, Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme and a couple of secretariat Staff.
The aircraft chartered by the Nigeria Football Federation for the round trip departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 11pm on Thursday, to arrive in Khartoum by 6am Sudan time.
The Nigeria delegation will stay at the Grand Holiday Villa Hotel, with the players scheduled to train at the Khartoum Stadium by 8pm.
Saturday’s match will start at 8pm Sudan time, and the delegation will return to Nigeria immediately after the game. The Eagles are third in group A with a point from two games.
