New UBEB chairperson tour schools in Adamawa

The chairperson of Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB), Dr. Kaletapwa Farauta, has commenced familiarization tour of schools in the state with a view to assessing their situation.

According to a press release issued to journalists and signed by the board’s Public Relations Officer in Yola, Hajiya A’ishatu Tijjani, yesterday, the familiarization tour is expected to get her acquainted with problems of the schools in the three senatorial zones of the state, the first leg being schools in Demsa, Numan, Lamurde and Yola-South local government areas.

In Demsa, the chairperson inspected dilapidated classrooms in Farai Primary school, while in Numan she inspected facilities at the junior section of Numan Secondary School and Numan 11 primary schools as well as PARE Girls Primary School.

In Lamurde, she inspected Kupte Primary School, while in Yola-South, she visited Wuro-Cekke and Shagari primary schools, where she assured them of the state’s readiness to tackle problems of education in the state head-on.

Dr. Farauta, while interacting with education secretaries in the local governments visited, said that government at all levels must implement laudable educational policies in order to achieve desired results.
