The Jigawa state governor Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru yesterday begged and appealed to President Muhammad Buhari to do something on the recent increase of fuel price in the country.
The governor made the appeal while delivering his speech at the commissioning of empowerment programme by the Gumel/Gagaraw /Maigatari /Sule-tankarkar federal constituency Alhaji Nazifi Sani held yesterday at Gumel Emirate Foundation.
Governor Badaru who lamented that there is high inflation on food items said, only God can save us from the present hardship situation.
“Though there is a global economic crisis due to covid-19 pandemic but, I want assure you that we are in contact with mr president Buhari and I’m sure he will do something on the recent situation” he said.
He said,as part of the federal government’s effort to ensure relief to masses, president Buhari ordered for the disbursement of 30,000 tons of maize across the country.
“I want urged Nigerians to embrace praying for God to have relief on us, because no matter how good or intelligence you are, you can’t change thing unless God wish” Badaru said.
Governor Badaru also extended his condolence to the flood victims in the state and assured more relief on them to reduce the pains.
He then commended the Gumel lawmaker for empowering 513 people in his constituency and urged other lawmaker to emulate from him.
