The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has assured thepeople of Borno state that the agency woulddo anything possible toensure that they support them,especially at this moment of insecurityin order to sustain the long fraternity in the state.
The Director- General of the agency, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Sidi, who wasrepresented by the Assistant Director, Relief and Rehabilitation in theagency,Alhaji Sa’idu Ahmed stated this yesterday in Gombe,during the donation of relief material to the displace persons.
He said the agency share the same feelings with the people of Bornoin view of the consistent loss of lives and properties in theNorth-east.
According to him, the federal government is making arrangement tomake the internally displaced persons comfortable even as he promisedmore donation of relief materials to the victims to enable them havesense of belonging in the society.
The Assistant Director relief and rehabilitation (NEMA) said that the Director- General NEMA Alhaji MohammedSani Sidi is concerned with their situation and urged them to be loyal to one another while in amp.
Speaking at the event, the Executive secretary of state EmergencyManagement Agency (SEMA) Dr. Danlami Arabs Rukuje said about fivehundred people from Dambua were registered yesterday, and NEMA, inconjunction with SEMA, has been consistent in providing food andother materials to the displaced persons.
