The DG, who disclosed this yesterday while inaugurating the over 800 cadet camping held at the Immaculate Heart College of Education, Dagba, Makurdi charged the cadets to be in the vanguard against smuggling of illicit goods, arms and ammunitions when they are finally absorbed into the force.
He explained that the mandate of the paramilitary organization is to combat illegal importation of illicit goods in addition to monitoring of pipelines.
He, therefore, advised them to be prepared to join forces with other security agencies to sustain the fight against the unwholesome practices which have affected the socio-economic development of the country when they are recruited.
