Natforce DG congratulates new NASS leaders

The Director General National Taskforce to combat illegal Importation of Small Arms, Ammunition, Light Weapons, Chemical Weapons and Pipeline Vandalism (NATFORCE), Chief Emmanuel Osita Okereke has congratulated the new leadership of both the Senate and the House of Representatives for their victories during the election.
Speaking with some newsmen in his office in Abuja, the Director General of Natforce, Chief Emmanuel Osita Okereke OON also thanked the Clark to the legislative chambers for allowing transparency during the election that produced people with good tracks records adding that their emergence represent collective wish and aspiration of Nigerians.
Chief Okereke further stated with the calibers of leadership now in place at the two chambers have impeccable qualities which he said is a clear indication to Nigerians that true and genuine change has come to stay.
He further advised other lawmakers to support those elected warning against the repeat of the mistakes of the immediate past National Assembly leadership.
The DG also used the opportunity to call on all Nigerians both at home and abroad irrespective of tribe and political affiliations to rise in support of those who had emerged leaders in the 9th National Assembly.
Chief Okereke while congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari for allowing transparency reign during and after the process by not imposing candidates of his choice saying that the neutrality of Mr. President is a further pointer that he is a true democrat.
Concluding, Chief Okereke urged “the National Assembly to call some Judges to order following the recent ruling of an Abuja High Court that Certificate of return should be issued to a politician who forced a presiding officer to declare him winner under duress. I am advising INEC never to to issue certificate of Return to Rochas Okoracha, no matter the amount of pressure.
