The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has concluded plans to partner the Nigerian Army Systems Development Centre (NASDC).
The Vice Chairman of the Agency gave this indication in a statement issued yesterday.
He said the plans were unveiled during a visit of the Director of the Centre, Brig- General Emmanuel G. Whyte, who led other delegation to NASENI to discuss issues on how the two parties will partner to achieve a common goal.
Meanwhile, the Director of the centre said the reason for the partnership is to build research capacity via personnel development programme in collaboration with partners in the Public sector.
According to him, some areas of collaboration with NASENI includes, assistance with workshop facilities such as Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment, Laser engraving machine, 3D Printer etc., establishment of joint research project in area of robotics and Mechatronics and joint training as well as joint research schemes for knowledge exchange especially in the area of reverse engineering.
Others are joint projects in the area of prototype development, product refining, testing, mass production and marketing.
