Nasarawa PDP urges INEC, Security agencies to be independent during supplementary elections

Ahead of the inconclusive Assembly Elections in Nasarawa, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Nasarawa State has appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and the security operatives to play the role of independency during the 23rd March, 2019 conduct of the inconclusive House of Assembly elections in some parts of Karu/Gitata, Nasarawa Eggon-east, Obi II and Keffi-East in the state.
Nasarawa State PDP chairman Mr. Francis Orugu who made the plea yesterday during a press conference held at the party secretariat along Jos Road Lafia the state Capital.
According to him “I urged the security agents to allow the electorate to make their choice by voting candidates that suit their interest without intimidation. I call the INEC and the security to have the fear of God by exhibiting sincerity, by doing the needful in the forthcoming inconclusive exercise in some parts of the state. Be just, sincere and fairness.”
Mr. Francis who further implored supporters of PDP to come out massively and vote PDP in the forthcoming exercise as according to him “Never you be discouraged with what happened in the previous exercise”.
“We PDP in Nasarawa State will take a positive step to redeem our mandate that was stolen on the last Saturday polls. I urged you supporters to remain peaceful and focused. Be united and come out in your large numbers again and vote candidates of your choice” Mr. Francis advised supporters.
He continued “We must work assiduously as a body to redeem our position in the state. Be loyal to the constituted authority. Keep away from violence. Our great Party PDP supporters are known to be obedient throughout the years.”
“We will continue to struggle for victory. We will follow legitimate steps to get our mandate. Victory is ours already.”Orugu maintained.
