A group under the auspices of Madauci Associates has purchased the PDP expression of interest and the nomination form for the former governor of Nasarawa State, Aliyu Akwe Doma.
Speaking while presenting the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) nomination form to the former governor purchased by the group, Mamman Alakayi, former commissioner in Doma’s administration said that Doma will restore confidence in the polity and people of the state.
Alakayi said that only the former governor among the contestants can bring back the lost glory of the state.
“We taught it wise that Doma has the experience and the capacity to steer the leadership of the state for another term for the state to move forward”.
Alakayi said as a group they will work assiduously for the emergence of the former governor as PDP candidate in the gubernatorial primaries.
Receiving the nomination form, the former Governor, Aliyu Akwe Doma promised to reconcile displaced communities in the state which occurred as a result of the incessant communal crisis that bedeviled the state for over two years.
Doma said that the affected communities have suffered serious setback and needed attention.
Schools, hospitals and mostly importantly farms have been abandoned because of the fear of the unknown.
Doma said that the people of the state should have a flash back and remember why the state was created.
“No tribe or citizen in the state is a new person but people that struggled together to achieve a common goal”.
The former governor said that there is the need to create confidence among the various tribes in the state for peaceful coexistence.
