From Ahmed Kaigama, Bauchi

The Bauchi zonal headquarters of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO), on Friday, condemned the killing of 45 children by unidentified gunmen at the Federal Government College,

A statement signed by the National Vice President of the group in charge of the North, Ustaz Ahmad Jumba, and the Zonal Public Relations Officer (PRO), Malam Adamu Muhammad Hamid, said attacks on children and schools were unacceptable under any circumstances as such deprive them of their right to education and basic needs of life.

Adamawa states and called on the federal government to urgently take action to safeguard lives and properties of citizens. NACOMYO further calls on the perpetrators of the ugly trend to fear Allah and stop the dastardly acts.

It expressed the NACOMYO’s deepest condolences to the families and communities affected by the senseless acts and called for greater efforts to protect children in the country.
