From Yakubu Mustapha, Minna

The Niger State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress has described the PDP allegation of N1.4 billion disappearance of saved for 5 Star Hotel was due to the skeleton in its cupboard which he described as a hallucination of its corrupt past in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the State APC chairman Mohammad jibril Imam said the PDP’s consistent attacks on the current government is like the antics of a drowning man, who will fight desperately to hold anything, explaining that the Governor Abubakar Sani Bello led APC government in the state remained focused and refused to be dragged into the mud like the PDP, whose stock in trade is corruption, deciet and falsehood.
The party stated that for the administration of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello to have confirmed that the money is intact, smarked uncommon transparency and integrity in the handling of the state resources, unlike in the past, when government processes and procedures are conducted in clandestine manner.
According to him, “We urge PDP chairman Tanko Beji to remember his corrupt and insincere past to his people and the state in the conduct of his activities, as a PDP chieftain alongside other members of his party. On this note, we advise the PDP to leave the APC led government alone to concentrate on the good works it is doing, which the PDP denied the people of Niger State in all its years in power.”
Engr. Imam reiterated that as a people oriented government, the current administration has absolutely nothing to hide, as all the intention and actions of the government are aimed at making life better for Nigerlites.
The statement further said, ordinarily the APC in the state will not dignify the PDP by joining issues with it, but suffice it to set records straight for the benefit of Nigerlites, so that, the ‘Papa Deceive Pikin’ Party, PDP, out of mischief, will not mislead the supportive, law abiding and good people of Niger State.
“The push and pull that have characterised the project since inception is nothing more than the manifestation of the corrupt manner in which the foundation of project was laid, buttressing that the project that was meant to cost the state government only land resources went ahead to consume a whooping 500 million Naira of Niger State money, under questionable circumstances”.
Consequently, Imam stated that with the incontrovertible evidences presented to the public by the state government, the burden of prove is now the PDP through its party Chairman, Tanko Beji, since he Insisted the money was not there!
aimed at seeking cheap popularity in a run-up to the Niger State Local Government election slated for November 30th.
The allegation of attempted cover up according to APC chairman was a manifest confirmation of PDP’s gradual slide into menopause. For the umpteenth time, it is important to reiterate that the hallmark the current government in Niger State is honesty, integrity and transparency.
“The people of Niger State are carried along at every step on the way, since assuming office in 2015, the evidence is the intimidating popularity of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello and the APC, which the PDP is trying diabolically to tarnish.
“The criminal elements in the PDP, who are masters of mischief making will not be allowed to drag the state back to the dark days of the PDP.
He Clarified that we are determined and resolute and no amount of character assassination, personal attacks and name calling will distract governor Abubakar Sani Bello or any member of his team from doing the right things at all times or demanding accountability from the past corrupt administration of the PDP.
