Muslim scholar urges students to be self employed

Muslim students in Gombe State University have been advised to be self employed after graduating from school.

Muslim scholar, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim gave the advice yesterday in Gombe during the 7th send forth, that was organized by the Muslim students society of Nigeria for graduating students of 2013 and 2014, of the Gombe state university.

Delivering his lecture with the theme, “Nine Ingredients for a Successful Life after Graduation”, Dr. Ali said repentance, seeking for Islamic knowledge as well as utilization are key to success in life.

The scholar also said it is un- Islamic for one to avoid marriage because of responsibility, noting that seeking for basic Islamic knowledge is obligatory upon every individual.

Also speaking at the event, the Vice-chancellor Gombe state university Prof. Abdullahi Madi who was represented by the Deputy Registrar, Alhaji Abubakar Difa commended MSSN for organizing the event and called on the graduating students to be good ambassadors of the university.

In a goodwill message, the Royal Father of the day, the Emir of Dukku Alhaji Abdulkadir Haruna Rasheed ll commended the students for their effort in reforming the youths and appreciated the scholar for excellent performance.

Responding on behalf of the ex students, Ustaz Bukari Abubakar expressed gratitude to Allah for the success of their studies and urged the youths to always be vanguard of change in the society even as he called on them to raise against challenges of life.
