ADAMU-MUAZUFrom Ahmed Kaigama, Bauchi

A group at the forefront of the campaign to make the former Bauchi state governor, Ahmadu Mu’azu, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday described his emergence as the party’s boss a mistake.

The group, in Mu’azu’s home state, in a statement by its National Secretary, Alhaji Suleiman Yaro, slammed the PDP boss for his inability to deliver.

The group stated; “We the campaign organization of Ahmadu Mau’zu for National chairman

2012 and thousands of our supporters in Bauchi state hereby declare our rejection for the support as a result of incompetence and inability to deliver the party (PDP).”

The group, which threatened to dump the ruling party for the opposition All Progressives Congress, (APC) alleged that Mu’azu’s incompetence made his associates in the party in Bauchi state to decamp into the opposition.

The group scribe wondered how opposition APC has become powerful in Mu’azu’s Bauchi state constituency in Dass,Tafawa-Balewa and Bogoro through the influence of Hon.Barrsiter Yakubu Dogara who also dump the PDP recently.

“What do you expect of a National chairman of the PDP who is going round the states in the federation seeking for reconciliation while his state, Bauchi and his immediate federal constituency is captured by the APC?” Yaro queried.

The forum said the PDP chairman has abandoned those who canvassed for his leadership of the party and keep patronizing those who never worked for him.

Responding, a close associate to the National PDP National chairman and a former commissioner of sport during his regime in Bauchi state , Alhaji Sani Toro said he had pleaded with the forum to avail him more time must was miffed to hear that they had gone to the press.

Toro who admitted knowledge of the forum threats, however, described their action as one of the beauties of democracy.
