The Benin national church has paid tribute to outstanding mothers for their sacrifices and contributions towards societal development.
Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.
The presiding Priest of Holy Aruosa Cathedral, Ohen-Osa Igbinoghodua Edebiri made this known at Sunday church service in Benin City.
In a sermon titled: “love for one another”, Ohen-Osa Igbinoghodua, tasked believers across the Country to cultivate the habit of love for one another.
“A true mother is a woman who persevere especially in times of hardship with the expectation that tomorrow would be better. God will not put you to shame. A true mother will not abandon her Children or her husband”, he said.
He emphasized that assisting one another in time of needs facilitates God’s answers to prayers.
According to him, God does not change his principle of love for one another from the creation of the world, adding that love and care for others are one of the prerequisites for attaining God’s blessings.
