Monarch urges prayers, unity to end coronavirus

The Chairman of Yoruba Council of Chiefs and Obas in the 19 Northern states and Abuja Ambassador Muhammad Arigdabuwo has said prayers and unity of purpose are one of the major tools in fighting the coronavirus Pandemic in Nigeria.
He made the assertion while speaking to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
The royal father enjoined Nigerians to unite in spirit, unity of purpose adhering to the basics principles of health tips of washing hands, avoiding crowd, wearing face masks, social distancing and staying at home as the best way of halting the spread of the virus.
Arigdabuwo while calling on people to pray and pray without ceasing, he said the Pandemic coronavirus is a killer of life and property as its multiplies negative effect is attacking Economy of the world.
“I enjoined us all as good patriotic Nigerians to pray until something positive happens, the virus is a killer of Man and destroyer of what Humanity depends on.
“It’s killing thousands of people and killing the Economy life of even great nations, nothing we can do than to come in one spirit of prayers irrespective of the faith we profess for God to Wade it off through His Mercy.” Dauda called
He further said that the effects of the virus is turning the Economy of Nigeria upside down, making Government to slice down budget implementation as revenue generation is drastically going down,agencies seems not to meet up with targets and oil at the international market is less than thirty dollars per barrel.
The monarch commenced the steps put in place by the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration, saying all Yoruba at home and in diaspora are behind him.
The royal father appreciates the effort of the Federal and State Government to be standing strong on their toes in measures to curb the spread of the virus to other States.
He also praised the efforts of vice president Professor,Yomi Osinbanjo ,Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Lagos State Governor For rising up to the challenges.
