The chairman Council of Yoruba Traditional Obas and Chiefs in 19 northern states and Abuja, Ambassador Muhammad Arigbabuwo has commended President Muhammadu Buhari over recent moves to tackle insecurity in the country, saying the meeting with traditional rulers was in the right step.
He made the assertion while speaking to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
The royal father added that the traditional rulers are closer to the people hence know the good, the bad and the urgly among them.
He therefore called for collaboration between the security agencies and the traditional rulers to identify the brains behind insecurity in their domain.
Ambassador Arigbabuwo said when President Buhari hosted several monarchs from the South West region recently he was excited because peace is gradually returning to the zone.
The monarch, however, called on President Buhari to ensure that the welfare of the security agencies in the country is properly addressed.
