The chief of Gofindna community in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Mr Ismaila Tukura, has appealed to the chairman of the area council, Micah Yohanna Jiba to drill boreholes for the people in order to boost potable drinking water in the council.
He admonished the chairman, to connect the community to the national grid to arrest the problem of electricity supply in the village.
Tukura, made this call in an interview Peoples Daily pointed out that Gofidna community had been neglected in the area of social amenities for a long period of time. He added that the chairman to repair the dilapidated roads to fast track development in the area.
He requested the chairman to establish a pooling unit in the community to enable the people from other neighbouring villages to come to the area during elections to exercise their right and vote for the candidate of their choice.
He also pleaded with the AMAC to provide fertilizer and tractors to farmers on time to enable them carry out their farming activities on time during cropping season.
The Monarch used the opportunity to call on the chairman to upgrade him to the status of the village to enable him benefit from the council. He urged the people of the community to continue to support the government of AMAC at all times for the overall development of the area.
