Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Socio Cultural association yesterday said it has suspended its Chairman, Alh Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, for alleged constitutional breaches.
The association, in a communique issued at the end of its emergency meeting, by the Chairman of the its investigative committee, Wakili Ali Babbangida, said the breaches included: “refusal to organize election, 4 years after registration of the Association against the provisions of the constitution of the Association, which stipulated that elections be held after every 3 years.
“The meeting also discussed recent activities of the National Chairman, in which he unilaterally plunged the association into partisan politics against the provisions of the constitution.
“The meeting noted that such declaration has caused the members of the association and indeed the entire Fulani across the nation a serious embarrassment.
The meeting also noted that such declaration by the Chairman runs counter to Article 3 of the Constitution of the association, which prohibits any form of declaration of partisan support to any particular party or candidate, stating that the association is neither political, ethnic nor religious”.
Meanwhile, the association has announced a five-man committee under the chairmanship of Alh Lawal Ali Mai Mamman to investigate the above accusations against the former Chairman.
The committee has been given one month within which to submit its report and recommendations.
Members of the Ivestigation Committee include: Lawal Aliyu Mai Mamman – Chairman; Mohammed S. Fada- member – Secretary; Mohammed Madugu Nafada – member; Mal Adamu Jos – member. and Bar. Haruna Garus Gololo.
Members of the Interim National Caretaker Exco include: Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi -Nat. Chairman; Alh Mande Maishanu – member; Alh Bala mohd Dabo – member; Hajiya Hadiza Nafada – Nat. W. leader; Alh Umaru Jabbi- member; Mal. Aliyu Iliyasu Ardido – member and Muhd Buba Husseini-secretary.
