From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina
Governor Aminu Bello Masari has reaffirmed that the present administration in Katina state will continue to champion the cause of most vulnerable people in the country.
Alhaji Aminu Masari was speaking during the opening of Masari kowa Yabi women Association’s campaign office at kwado quarters in Katsina.
Governor Masari also launched empowerment packages initiated by the chairperson of the Masari kowa Yabi women Association, Hajiya Habiba Mai Shadda during the occasion.
The Governor explained that the importance of assisting the most vulnerable people could not be overemphasized, especially as it relates to women and orphans.
Governor Masari contended that the gang up against President Muhammad Buhari by the powerful forces was meant to scuttle the social security programmes of the APC administration in the country.
He called for judicious use of the items provided by Mai Shadda to educate their children adding that with education their children could aspire to become leaders in future as could be seen in the example of their life history president Buhari who hails from poor families but are now leaders because of educational qualifications.
Earlier, the chairperson of the Masari Kowa Yabi women Association, Hajiya Habiba Mai Shadda disclosed that the empowerment packages were provided for women trained on various skills throughout the 34 local governments.
One of the beneficiaries, Hajiya Aisha from Jibiya attested to the fact that she received the empowerment materials, stressing that as a widow, she would utilize the proceeds to boost her trade for the survival of her orphans.
