Mark vows to spill blood over creation of Apa State

Senate President, David Mark has promised not to betray the trust of the Idoma people, maintaining too that he is ready to spill the last drop of his blood for the realization of Apa state.

Mark who made the pledge yesterday in his residence in Otukpo where he was presented with the expression of interest as well as nomination form purchased for him by the 9 council chairmen of Idoma land, said he realizes the great burden placed on his shoulders to lead the people.

He acknowledged the sacrifice of the Idoma people as well as the confidence reposed in him by them, promising not to disappoint them but to always ensure fairness and justice.

“I am overwhelmed with emotion over the huge responsibility on me by the people. I pray that God give me the courage and wisdom to be just, fair and trustworthy to the people. This is about the future of the Idoma land. Today I have made a covenant with the people who have entrusted their entire political future into my hands. This places immeasurable responsibility on my shoulders. It is not everyone who believes that I have done well and even say it is not my birthright but it is not my cause but that of the entire Idoma people. So I willingly accept to be a candidate for the PDP for the 2015 election. I promise to remain your humble servant and will not depart from the path of justice and fairness”, Mark pledged.

He also urged the people to continue to support and cooperate with him to lead them better.

Minister for Interior, Comrade Abba Moro noted that Sen Mark has provided the necessary pillar for the stability of democracy in Nigeria while spokesman for the council chairmen, Sunday Ojo explained that their decision to purchase the form for the Senate President is premised on his excellent performance as well as effective representation of the Benue South senatorial district.
