Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has sought the approval of members of the State House of Assembly to extend the tenure of the caretaker committee chairmen in the state.
Makinde requested a three months extension for sixty-eight Local Government and Local Council Development Areas Caretaker Chairmen and their members.
The request was contained in a letter forwarded to the Oyo State House of Assembly by the Governor.
The tenure of the Caretaker Chairmen whose appointments were approved on the 19th of December, 2019 is expected to expire on the 19th of December, 2020.
