Lobi Stars Football Club has announced plans to introduce an award for deserving ex players of the team.
Vice Chairman of the club Mike Idoko disclosed this while speaking to Sportswriters after his side beat Mountain of Fire Ministries, MFM 1-0 in a week 14 game of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.
Idoko explained that the award which holds soon is meant to encourage the younger generation of players to give their best knowing that someday, they would be remembered for their exploit and contribution.
He also, intimated plans by board and management of the team to institute Man of the Match award which would be drawn by sportswriters, noting that it is a way of motivating players to perform maximally. He announced that three (3) players (though he did not disclose their names) will soon leave the club for greener pastures.
Lobi Stars now top the league log with 27 points with an outstanding game against Rangers FC, Enugu.
