Liverpool are chasing Real Madrid star Isco, with a view to bringing the Spaniard to Anfield in January, according to the Metro.
Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is a long-term admirer of the 22-year-old, with the Merseyside boss having tried to bring him to the club before he made the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.
With Isco finding himself second choice to Gareth Bale – before the Welshman’s injury – Liverpool have once again identified him as a key target for when the transfer window opens once again. Manchester City are also thought to be interested, so Rodgers certainly won’t find it easy to bring his top target to the Premier League this winter.
Isco has performed superbly since becoming a regular in the Madrid starting XI, causing many to believe that Bale would struggle for football upon his return to full fitness.
However, considering Bale’s enormous price tag, if either of them are to be sold, one would expect the Spaniard would be first out the door.
