Legal Aid Council has pledged support for Tricycle operators otherwise known as Keke NAPEP under the umbrella of Abuja Tricycles Riders Association (ATRA), to further boost ease of doing business in the Territory.
Director of the Council in FCT, Barrister Oseni Agboghaiyemeh gave the assurance yesterday while playing host to ATRA officials, on a courtesy visit to his office.
Oseni, assured the Association that the Council is willing and ready to provide them with any legal need whenever the it arises.
He reiterated that the Council was established to offer free legal services to the less privileged in the society.
He however advised the Tricycle operators to always obey traffic regulations and other related matters, in order to minimize the possible legal tussle that may arise.
He equally urged members of the Association to cultivate and maintain good behaviours while carrying out their activities on the FCT roads.
Earlier in his remarks, ATRA Chairman, Al-hassan Haske informed the Council that the Association was there to seek cooperation with the Council, in resolving legal issues within and outside the courts.
He decried plight of members of the Association due to their inability to effectively pursue legal issues affecting their operations in the Territory.
He therefore appealed to the Council to fashion out the members can benefit from its services with much ease.
ATRA boss noted that it’s been a long time that the Association has been trying to get the attention of the Council.
He however thanked the Director for receiving and obliging to swiftly help handle any legal issues affecting members of the Association.
