Legacy group begins door to door PVC sensitization in Delta

In furtherance of its plan to mobilize Deltans to participate actively in the next democratic dispensation, the Okowa Legacy group has commenced door to door voter’s registration drive in Delta State.
The exercise which has been flagged off at Akwukwu – Igbo in Oshimili North Local Government Area is designed at Mobilizing and Sensitizing the grassroots on the need to register and obtain their permanent voters card to enable them vote for candidates of their choice in the 2019 General Elections.
The chairman, Board of Trustees of legacy group, Dr Amechi Okobah said the campaign would be taking to churches, mosques, markets, hospitals, and other public places saying that field officers will engage the people and profile those who had either misplaced their PVC’s or yet to register and be encouraged to do so without any further delay.
He said the exercise “Tagged operation show your permanent voters card” will be taking to the 25 local Government Areas of Delta state adding that the ultimate goal is to encourage citizens participation in the 2019 general election.
The Director of strategy and planning of the group, Dr Isioma Okobah disclosed that the first phase of the mobilization will take field officers to Oshimili North, Oshimili South, Aniocha South, and Aniocha North, while the 2nd phase will take members to Ndokwa west, Ndokwa East, Ukuani, Ika North East and Ika South in Delta North before Delta South and Delta central will take their turn.
The PVC door – to – door Campaign drive by legacy group is to ensure that no one left out in the collective determination of the people to elect their representatives in the next political dispensation.
