In Idoma apex youth socio-political group, Oofu K’idoma Youth Association, has warned the All Progressives Congress (APC), to desist from dragging Senate President, David Mark into imaginary issues.
This came at the heels of a statement by the Kano state Governor, Alh. Ibrahim Kwankwaso, who said David Mark and the entire Senate had called for a postponement of the 2015 elections because according to him, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was not ready for elections thus the call for extension of tenure.
In a statement signed by the National President of the Idoma youth group, Mr. Dan Ochonu, Sen. David Mark has no need to fear any elections since he has no competition in his senatorial district. He said Mark has proven his worth to the Idoma nation and has no need to fear for elections.
Mr. Ochonu advised Governor Kwankwaso to face his political future which the group described as very bleak without a hope for the presidential ticket.
“It is rather hilarious that Kwankwaso, who does not know what tomorrow, holds for him, will accuse a political heavyweight like Mark, who has no competition of delaying elections for fear of losing. If I may ask, who is running against Mark?” he queried.
The group further informed that already, the Idoma people have gathered over 10,000 signatures calling for Mark’s return to the Senate, as there is yet to be a replacement for a performer like him.
“Benue-South is just waiting for the elections; we have already gathered 10,000 signatures to coerce Mark to continue his able representation which has not got an alternative yet”, Ochonu added.
