Lawmaker laments abduction of constituents

The member representing Mangu-Bokkos Federal constituency,Hon. Solomon Bulu Maren has lamented recurring incidence of abduction of his constituents by the Boko Haram Insurgents in Borno State.
The member, in a statement he personally signed and sent to Peoples Daily on Wednesday, decried that the harmless citizens, who were on humanitarian works in the northeast unfortunately fell victims of the insurgents.
The statement reads in part: “Mr. Lawrence Duna Dacighir and Godfrey Ali Shikagham, both carpenters from Mangu LGA, working with an international NGO were publicly executed in a widely circulated video in October 2019. The entire Mangu-Bokkos constituency has not recovered from the experience, yet we hear of the abduction of Miss Jennifer Ukambong Samuel, a medical Aide worker with Alliance for International Medical Action”.
Ukambong, an orphaned indigene of Bokkos LGA, was reportedly kidnapped along with several others in a brutal ambush along Monguno-Maiduguri road on Sunday, 22nd December, 2019, the day she was marking the 21st remembrance of her dear father’s demise.
Solomon expressed dismay over the recurring records of his constituents been abducted in the course of discharging such a critical responsibility of national importance
He enjoined all stakeholders and collaborators including security agencies to put hands on desk toward bringing end to this deteriorating acts of the aimless terror.
