Lady Ohuabunwa tasks Nigerians, students on cultural values

The wife of the Managing Director of Love FM radio based in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lady Angela Ohuabunwa, has called on Nigerians as well as the Nigerian students to always place values on their culture.
He also charged Nigerians to tolerate one another irrespective of their tribal and religious inclinations.
Ohuabunwa, who made the call in an interview with newsmen during a programme organized by the Management of Love FM radio at the premises of the station on a Saturday which tagged “Mama Africa” further urged Nigerians not to discriminate among themselves.
She pleaded with the school children to learn how to speak their mother-tongue, while urging them to respect the elders.
She then appealed to the Federal Government to give priority attention to Nigerian cultural heritage for the benefit of generation yet unborn.
She, therefore advised young girls to dress decently, noting that every man wants to marry a decent girls.
Ohuabunwa commended the organizers of the programme for a job well done.
Also speaking, the General Manager of Love FM, Mrs Lillian Anele, urged the parents to deem it necessary to inculcate cultural norms on their children at all times.
On her part, the programme manager of the station, Grace Nwodo, said the Mama Africa targeted at bringing the school children back to their native languages.
She further pointed out that Mama Africa was a programme designed for the school children in order for them to have regards for their tradition in their respective societies, noting that the programme began in 2005.
Peoples Daily reports that at the end of the programme, the command secondary school Suleja among the four schools that participated in the programme were given the certificates of attendance.
