From Femi Oyelola, Kaduna

Professor John Asiedu Sarpong, has observed that education in Africa is sinking, saying lack of reading culture especially among the youths is a problem in Africa
He disclosed this while speaking to students of Adeize Brains International School, Kaduna yesterday
Sarpong urged the teachers to redouble their efforts towards giving the students the best education for a better society in the future.
“The problem of education is from the teachers because some of them lack teaching methods. They need to humble themselves for the students to understand what they are teaching.
“We have lost our focus, teachers’ attitude to the students should be answerable and above all, the teachers should serve as servants by enduring in all situation in order to give the students qualitative education that can stand the test of time, “ he stated.
He observed that all human beings were born equal, “The way you struggle to bring food to yourself and others determine how you go about your life right from the beginning. The only answer is for one to struggle hard no matter what you find yourself doing legitimately.”
Earlier, the proprietor, Rev. Adieze Joseph, said the week tagged ‘social/career week’ is meant to enlighten the students to have focus in life and know what they want to be in life, adding that it is meant to encourage and direct them in the future.
Some of the students who shared their experiences noted that they have gained so much, stressing that the lectures they received would go a long to motivate them to take their studies serious.
