The government also successfully rehabilitated Obbo Aiyegunle water works in Ekiti local government area, which had been in existence 37 years ago.
Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, who was represented by his Deputy, Elder Peter Kisra at the Commissioning of the projects said the electrification would serve 36 communities in the areas.
He said the water supply sector of the state has witnessed phenomenal improvements during the past ten years.
Governor Ahmed added that 14 water works, which were part of first phase of expansion projects have been completed, stressing that the second phase of the project will commence soon.
In his remark, the Chairman of Ekiti Local Government, Hon. Akintoba Adeniyi Fatigun said the people of the area want the state government to assist them to construct six roads linking the local government and borders towns in Ekiti state.
Earlier, the traditional ruler of Obbo-Aiyegunle,Engr. Samuel Oluleye Adelodun-Oyiyoyoyin in his address appreciated the efforts of the state government to rehabilitated the 37 years water works with provision of standby electric generator at the dam site, stressing that it was a great political support which will go along way to make the water supply effective.
