rabiu_kwankwasoGov. Rabi’u Kwankwaso of Kano state yesterday warned politicians in the state against unguarded utterances and ‘politics of do or die’.

Kwankwaso gave the warning while addressing party elders and other stakeholders at the Government House in Kano on Thursday.

NAN reports that hundreds of APC supporters besieged the Government House, Kano on Tuesday to register their complaints with the governor over the conduct of the primaries by the party.

“Politics is not a do or die affair. Any candidate who did not emerge or scaled through the local government primaries should accept the results in good faith,’’ he said.

Kwankwaso stressed the need for candidates and their supporters to cooperate with state government in its effort to ensure the conduct of free, fair and acceptable local government election in the state.

The governor later held closed door meeting with the party stakeholders to resolve the matter.

Among those who attended the meeting include, Sen Kabiru Gaya, the state Deputy Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, and chairman of the state APC caretaker committee, Alhaji Abdullahi Gwarzo. (NAN).
