The Kano state governor, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has been described as the man with the will and power to salvage the country from its present ruin.
The Secretary General of the Yoruba Alliance for kwankwaso 2015, Chief Folorunso Olusegun Olukorede, stated this in Kaduna when the group paid a courtesy visit to the President General of Yoruba community in nineteen northern states and Abuja, Chief Abdul Ganiyu Oguntoyinbo.
The group added that in view of the above, the association of Yoruba sons and daughters in the north has urged Kwankwaso to contest 2015 Presidential election, promising to embark on massive mobilization of prominent Yoruba leaders to support the mission.
Olukorede appealed to Oguntoyinbo to use his influence across the nation to impress it on all Yoruba to support their initiative because the Kano governor is the only person among those being taunted for 2015 who has the intellectual, administrative and political wherewithal to rescue the country.
He said the achievements of the Kano state governor in his state is so monumental and a testimony for everyone to see as he has transform Kano to a new height making it a delight among the comity of states in Nigeria.
On whether the group has sought the consent of the Kano state Governor, Olukorede who was a former Assistant National Secretary of Alliance for Democracy (AD) replied that since a
golden fish has no hidden place, their call on the former Minister of Defence was a clarion.
Responding Oguntoyinbo applauded the achievements of the Kano governor, particularly the pride of place given to the Yoruba community by way of political appointments and empowerments.
He promised to inform his executive of the visit and get across to the group with their final decision.
