Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwakwanso has promised players and officials of Kano Pillars house gifts if they win the Glo Premier League trophy for the third time.

Pillars are currently blazing the trail at the summit of the Nigerian league with 62 points with two games to go. The Okey Emordi-tutored boys will play host to Nembe City before the last game against Enyimba in Aba. It was learnt that the governor wanted to add a new dimension this time around and surprise the players and their officials with houses that has been completed in Kano.

It was revealed that the Kwakwanso is just waiting for the team win the trophy again before announcing the surprise package to the team that has won the last two editions of the league.

“The Government is ready to change the kind of gift they will give to the players and officials if they win the League shield for the third time. This time, they may not give the players cars as they have houses that they players will get at the end of the season.

“It might come as a surprise to the players. But they know that they will get something big if they are able to retain the trophy. They will win their next game against Nembe City in Kano, but the key game for them is the last match against Enyimba in Aba”.
