The unit commanding officer in-charge of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kuje Area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Solomon Igbogbo, has stressed the need to ensure prompt maintenance of roads in the area.
The Kuje FRSC particularly made a passionate appeal to the chairman of Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Sabo to alwayspay serious attention on road maintenance in the area.
Igbogbo, while making this assertion in his office, noted that the act would in no small measure give motorists a sigh of relief while plying dilapidated portions of road in Kuje and environs.
He solicited the support of the council’s chairman to direct commercial drivers to be using one single Park in Kuje town even as expressed concerned over multiples Parks in the area.
Igbogbo also said that he met with the leadership of Kuje NURTW encouraged them on the need to ask their members loading passengers in junction and AA Rano filling station to move into Wowo central Park to conduct their business without causing traffic congestion.
The Kuje FRSC head reitrated commitment to sustain the public enlghtenment campaign educating motoring public in churches and mosques to give them proper guidance on how to use the road and protect themselves while driving.
He warned motorists to stop commiting route violation especially during the rainy season, adding that motorists need to cultivate the culture of driving with good tyres and wifers.
The FRSC Unit Commander suggested that all motorcycle owners must be asked to register their vehicles that the act remain one of the measures to reduce the cases of insecurity in the area.
