The palace secretary to the village Head of Kpakuru community in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Musa Haruna, has called on the chairman of the area Council, Hon. Abubakar Jibirin Giri, to as a matter of urgency to drill boreholes in the community to boost potable water supply in the area.

Haruna, who made the call in an interview with Peoples Daily on behalf of the village head, Chief Usman Aliyu, in the community recently, pointed out that the only borehole in the community constructed by the area council, was no longer functioning.

The community appealed to the leadership of FCT Administration as well as Gwagwalada area council to join hands to build Junior/senior secondary schools in the community, to enable the children to have access to education.

He further begged the council chairman to provide transformers to boost power supply for the people of the community.

He also called on the chairman to build a health care centre in the community to enhance proper medical treatment in the area, while urging the Giri led administration to gear up to provide the needed facilities for the hospital constructed by the leadership of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Anguwa Liman, for the benefit of the inhabitants.

He therefore pleaded with the government of the area council to expedite action towards fixing the dilapidated road which links Zuba-Suleja expressway in the area.

Commenting on the forthcoming general elections, Haruna advised youth to shun political violence during and after the elections, and urged them to continue to live in peace with one another in the Territory.
