Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has expressed gratitude to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, for his fatherly role in the North-Central.
The Governor made this known when the Senate Committee on Works on oversight function on roads in the North-Central states visited him at the Lugard House, Lokoja.
The Governor said the exemplary leadership by the Senate President was providing the country, particularly, the North-Central, will remain a reference point for many generations to come.
He explained that the tested politicians that the Senate President assigned chairmanship of various committees in the Senate showed that good things had come to Nigeria.
Bello also said that the APC administration under President Muhammadu Buhari was a sign that Nigeria was ready for true nationhood.
He further explained that the war against corruption being waged by the Buhari administration would soon give the country the road map to greatness.
He thanked the Senate Committee for their tireless efforts in ensuring that the era of abandoning road contracts was gone for good.
He commended the leadership of the Committee for ensuring that all road contracts in the country were effectively monitored.
He said that with the calibre of people in the committee, Nigerians would indeed know that the APC meant well for the country, adding that the mantra of change by the APC was not a fluke.
He urged Nigerians to continue to support the Buhari administration and pray for peace and development in the country.
