A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Solomon Ukoh has tasked the newly initiated members of Knights of St. Mulumba to show more commitment towards the building of the church and selfless service to God and humanity as their positions intend.
The cleric who is also the Chaplain of the Noble Order of Knight of St. Mulumba in Abuja said by being committed to the order they will also by the grace of God work out their salvation and make heaven at last.
He spoke in Abuja on Sunday at the Outing and Thank Giving Service of the Knight of St. Mulumba at St. Charles Lwanga Parish, Apo Resettlement Area.
His words, “I want them to be committed into the Order. Knighthood is an order. It is an order for discipline, commitment and devotion. The knight is noble in our time and aside their devotion they need to commit their resources and be generous in their attitude and disposition and use their resources to build the church. We encourage them to be committed to the order because when they are committed they will learn the prayers and learn the intricacies and behaviors of the church and together we will forge ahead and eventually by the grace of God be in the kingdom of God”.
Also speaking, the Grand Knight of the Knights of St. Mulumba, Abuja Sub-Council, Sir. David Igbazua Kpue (KSM) tasked the new members to bring into the order their wealth of experience and support.
“As new members who have been found worthy to be initiated into the order we expect them to bring in that knowledge. We expect them to bring in their talents as I said earlier. We expect them to use their resources in service of the order.
Speaking on behalf of the inductees, Sir Uche Ndupu (KSM) while urging other new members to be good ambassadors of the order said he feel elated as it was a dream come true.
On her own, Lady Tina Okwuchi Ndupu said that she gave God the glory for being a member of the order and pledged that her husband and her will always uphold good virtues of the order.
