Angry kidnappers operating within the Obiaruku community in Delta State have allegedly killed their gang member for fleeing with N5million ransom being proceed from their operations in the last few weeks.
It was gathered that kevme Iweh and Emmanuel Tomson ( 30 and 28 years) are suspected members of the same gang who have been kidnapping members of the public in the last few months before the bubble of their arrest burst.
But they were said to have killed one of their own Identified as Raymond Enahon for betraying them when he made away with the ransom money.
Confirming this to our reporter, Special Intelligence Response Team for Murder ( IRT), leader, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari disclosed that upon the arrest of the duo, Iweh and Tomson, the suspects on August 19,2019, murdered one Enahon Raymond for fleeing with N5million ransom which the gang had earlier collected from a victim’s family adding that after fleeing with the money, Enahon bought a Lexus Jeep and lavished the rest on his numerous girlfriends.
It was further gathered that operatives of IRT later discovered Enahon’s remains upon interrogation and investigation in a shallow grave in Obiaruku community.
Abba Kyari said that Enahon’s body was exhumed after Iweh and Tomson were arrested, adding that the suspects led the investigating officers to the shallow grave where they buried Enahon’s remains.
He said that the downfall of the gang started after IRT went to Delta State on the trail of a notorious kidnapping gang led by Best Kevwel Iweh as the gang leader who is a native of Oria Abraka community in Delta State was successfully arrested and he confessed to being a Kidnapper and had been terriorizing Delta State.
while the second suspect was Emmanuel Tomson who was arrested on August 18,2019.
According to him,” both suspects confessed to several kidnappings, including the kidnapping of a former finance officer in Delta State in August 2018, they also admitted to Kidnapping and killing Raymond Enahon their gang member as they said they lured him into somewhere and killed him after killing him they sold the Jeep for n1.8miillion, while we are working round the clock to arrest others in the state.”
