A total number of 1312 delegates yesterday, at the 27 August stadium in Damaturu, capital of Yobe state, gave the Minister of Home Affairs, Hajiya Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim, the winning votes in the APC House of Representatives primary election for Yobe north constituency.
Her opponent, Mohammed Bukar Abba Ibrahim. known as Abbati, scored 16 votes to take the second position.
Thus, Hon. Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim, was declared winner of the primary election to represent Tarmuwa, Damaturu, Gujba and Gulani federal constituency at the national Assembly after the 2019 general election.
A total number of 1312 votes were cast during the election out of which 2 number were declared invalid.
Three candidates submitted their names for the election but one of them, Arch. Mohammed Buba Abba Kyari announced his withdrawal at the venue of the election.
