Daniel Amokachi is capable of succeeding as Super Eagles acting coach” Stephen Keshi the out-of-contract national team head coach has said.
Speaking with Prompt News from his base in Benin City, Keshi gave Amokachi the nod to succeed in the double header international friendly matches against Cote D’Ivore and Mali in Dubai in January, adding that he is capable of handling any team and getting the needed result.
“Amokachi is a good coach, we should support him to succeed with the home based Super Eagles. He can guide the Eagles to get decent results from the two matches which will take place in Dubai next year”
“It must not always be Keshi alone. I have worked with Amokachi for quite some time now and I know he can do well in my absence, so there should be no panic over those two matches. Daniel is quite experienced with national team and this will not be different” Keshi said.
Keshi called on Nigerians to support and pray for Amokachi to succeed as national team coach adding that the country is blessed with good coaches who are waiting for the opportunity to showcase their talent and ability.
Meanwhile, the Big Boss as Keshi is called has frowned at his colleagues for criticizing him, adding that he deserves some respect for what he has achieved for the country.
