The National Publicity Secretary of the Kebbi State Students Union Com. Abubakar Aliyu Wasagu has appealed to the Kebbi State Government to temper justice with mercy and make the state owned University call off their indefinite strike.
In a press release issued yesterday by the Union members which was signed by the PRO, said that sequel to the optimal decision of strike action taken by the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aleiro, the decision come up after lack of government concern to honor their demands.
He explained further that the students lament the strike action taken by the ASUU, KSUSTA chapter which will eventually hinder the students from acquiring a qualitative education without distraction.
“It’s on this ground that the leadership of the NUKESS appealed to both the state government and university authority to sit down and settle themselves and call off the strike action.
“It has come to our notice that some students are planning to organise a peaceful demonstration which is not part of our culture and tradition, the NUKESS leadership condemn it and strongly warn the students to shun away from it, as we all know kebbi state is the most peaceful State in Nigeria,”the statement read.
