Kebbi State Government has spent the sum of N32 million for the evacuation of drainages and refugees or waste materials across the state capital.
Addressing a press conference in his office on the activities of the Urban Authority recorded yesterday, the General Manager Kebbi State Urban Development Authority (KUDA) Aliyu Umar Birnin Kebbi said that the money was used to evacuate the waste materials in the state capital in order to avoid floods.
He explained further that with the support of the Governor the KUDA has recorded a tremendous achievements by blocking a lot of flood linkages across the state capital adding that even the work was done in dual carriageway.
Umar who added that another sum of N10m was released for the maintainers of streetlights in the State capital, assured the people of the state that Government his working hard to extend the same gesture to the other emirates and zone across the state.
“In terms of generating revenue, the town planning and development control units department have above the target given to them by the state government in terms of revenue generation in the state,” he added.
He therefore, stated further that with the commitment of the KUDA people are no longer constructing illegal structure anymore urge the people to seek for the government approval before embarking on the construction.
