Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara pledge to end insecurity

Following the ongoing security challenges in the North- west, the Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States government in collaboration with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Sokoto chapter and security agencies have organized a one day workshop with the security agents on how to curb the current security challenges facing the zone.
The one day town hall meeting which was organized by the Sultanate Council in collaboration with NUJ was held at the Auditorium Hall of SMMIQS Sokoto with the aim to foster good relationship between the all security agents, NUJ and traditional rulers.
Delivering his keynote address, the kebbi State Deputy Governor Ismail Yombe who represented the Governor, said that the Kebbi State government was committed towards addressing security challenges in the state.
Ainaji Sama’ila Yombe Dabai welcomed the idea of joining hands together to bring about some security measures in fighting against criminal activities in their respective states.
The Deputy Governor said that, the issue of insecurity challenges is something to be attacking if there is Synge’s between the security men and people, commended the organizers for promoting awareness on the issue of in-security.
Speaking at the ceremony the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III urged security agencies,stakeholders,the communities as well as religious leaders to join hands and map out workable strategy that will bring the lasting solution to widespread security breaches in the country.
The meeting was in attendance with the Sokoto state Governor, Alhaji Aminu waziri Tambuwal, of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, Emires of Gwandu, Argungu,Yauri and Zamfara Alhaji Muhammad Attahiru Ahmad among others.
