From Ahmed Idris Birnin Kebbi

Kebbi state Police Command has smashed down on a syndicate of kidnappers and rescued two victims.
This is just as the Command has assured of its readiness to rid the rate of crime.
Parading the suspects before newsmen at the Command Headquarters Birnin Kebbi, the Police Public Relations Officer DSP Mustapha Suleiman said the Command swung into action after receiving a report from the father of the kidnapped Ekene Christopher a 10 year old and Chizara Nwori aged 11 years who were rescued unhurt at Dadin Kowa area in Niger State.
He explained that the father Christopher narrated that his son got missing while coming back from Anglican Church Birnin kebbi when the kidnappers whisked him away and has since then been with them for about 5 days.
“On the 5th November, 2017, a hidden number called the victim’s mother, Mrs Angella Christopher with a view to negotiate for ransom and demanded for two million five hundred naira before the child could be released” he added
According to him, the principal suspect Chibuka Njoko was arrested along side Emmanuel Nwonko, Sunday Oche, Mohammad Suleman, Taiye Olenju, Obinna Ogu and Sera Ibrahim.
DSP Mustapha called on the general public to report to police any suspicious character around them, noting that is the only way to help the police reduce crime in the state.
