Kebbi state governor Alhaji Usman Saidu Dakingari has assured the management of Power Holding Company of nigeria [PHCN] that before the end of 2015, his administration would clear N90million the debt owing the company by the state Ministries, agencies and parastatal.
He made this promised yesterday while receiving the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company and its team Alhaji Idris Mohammed, adding that despite his commitments to the state projects, his administration would not left any debt and assured the management of the company that out of over N150m owned the company last year, the state was able to paid half and promised to clear the remaining balance.
‘’If you visit the villages you would see how they were connected with light now including the supply of transformer, people were now enjoying electricity in kebbi state, we are have stable light despite the sharing formula because you would know the time you would get’’ he said.
Speaking earlier, the Managing Director, Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, Alhaji Idris Mohammed thanked the Governor for supporting them assured him that before the end of the year the state would be haven stable electricity.
He said that very soon the private company would take over from the PHCN, therefore urge the people of Kebbi state to be connected with the prepaid meter, described it as a way of reducing corruption and less charges.
