The Acting Secretary and Chief executive Kebbi State Universe Basic Education, Alhaji Bello Ibrahim Yauri has said that the government is targeting to bring back 23,400 girls out of school by year 2020 under the better education services delivery for all.
Speaking through the Desk Officer in charge of Better Education services Delivery (BESDA) Mallam Hassan Umar when the leadership of High Level Women Advocates (HILUWA) paid him a courtesy visit in his office, adding that if the aim is achieved it will be of benefit to the state government and parents.
He explained further the program is a World Bank programme which about 3 million US dollars which have been paid in advance even as he assured the people that they have almost achieved their target.
In her response, the chairperson of High Level Women Advocates, Her Excellency the former First Lady of Enugu State, Barr. Hafast Sule Ahman said that they were in the office to advocate for girl-child education to the stakeholders.
“We want encourage the people the importance of the enrolment of girls child education and the way forward”she added.
He then commended the efforts of the SUBEB for put the system into standard, assured them of more enlightenment campaigned toward achieving the aims and objective.
