The Emir of Argungu Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammad Mera has applauded the Kebbi State Governor Senator Atiku Abubakar Bagudu for establishing sugar factory in the area, adding that it will create 25,000 jobs if completed.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari says, the Emir made this known while hosting Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu in his palace over the weekend, acknowledging that already, sugarcane seedlings have been provided and cultivation was in progress while land has been cleared in preparation for the fully taking-off of the factory.
He further acknowledged that the $30million U.S Dollar company would produce sugar and ethanol bio-fuel as well as provide jobs to twenty five thousand people in the area.
The emir commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for this remarkable policy aimed at improving the economic wellbeing of the Emirate and Kebbi State.
He affirmed his loyalty and cooperation to the government to actualizing the sugar project.
In his response, Governor Atiku Abubakar Bagudu thanked the emir for its royal advices given to him, assured him of more dividends of democracy in the area.
